DECISION AND REASON:
--Stipendiary Steward Mr S Ching stated that "SABICRAFT, ridden by Mr J Todd placed second by the judge weighed in 0.9kg under its earlier weight, therefore that horse should be disqualified."
--The rule is clear and states - "if the allowance is not sufficient to enable the proper weight to be drawn the horse shall be disqualified for the race."
--Mr Todd weighed out at 58.5kg and weighed in at 57.6kg, a difference of 0.9kg, the allowance is 0.5kg.
--The horse SABICRAFT is therefore disqualified.
