| -- Ms C Oliver appeared on behalf of her father Mr W B Oliver and admitted a breach of rules 834(1) and (2), 1002(1)(a) and (b) in that SIMON ROBERT was late scratched from race 1 with insufficient circumstances to warrant the horse being scratched. Ms Oliver stated that her father believed the races were Friday not Thursday night and consequently the horse was not at the course. The second night next week is in fact a Friday night and it was thought that this had led to the confusion. ----Ms K Green who was to drive SIMON ROBERT was on the course and was available to drive. In these circumstances, I fine Mr Oliver the sum of $125 and order that $50 be paid to Ms Green in lieu of her drive. I see no reason why she should be out of pocket due to Mr Oliver's forgetfulness. |
