Stipendiary Steward Mr P T Knowles alleged that Trainer Mr A R Clyma presented VIBRANT ROBYN into the birdcage with the incorrect saddlecloth.
--Mr Clyma admitted the charge and chose to be present. On the information, Mr Clyma, in mitigation, wrote "The number was not picked up by myself and although incorrect it should of not been issued by the numbers room".
--In evidence, Mr Clyma admitted he put the number on without checking it and stated that "the total responsibility was mine".
--Under Rule 1111 (1) (d) I fnd the charge proven.
--Submissions as to penalty were heard. Mr Knowles said Mr Clyma had no charges in the past 12 months and had asked for the minimum penalty of a $100 fine. Mr Clyma had no further submission.
--I fine Mr Clyma $100.
