At the conclusion of race 1, the Camp Store and Lotto Mobile Trot, a protest was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr P T Knowles, into the fourth places horse by the Judge RAZOR FACE (D Dunn) alleging at the start RAZOR FACE broke and galloped in excess of 150metres in breach of the breaking horse regulation and rule 870 (3).

At the conclusion of race 1, the Camp Store and Lotto Mobile Trot, a protest was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr P T Knowles, into the fourth places horse by the Judge RAZOR FACE (D Dunn) alleging at the start RAZOR FACE broke and galloped in excess of 150metres in breach of the breaking horse regulation and rule 870 (3).
--Stipendiary Steward Mr N McIntyre used several video clips to highlight the alleged galloping of RAZOR FACE, stating, he believed RAZOR FACE had galloped up to 160 metres. Mr McIntyre highlighted also the marker pegs to gauge the distance of the alleged galloping.
--Mr Bartlett (trainer RAZOR FACE) initially questioned the distance Mr McIntyre had indicated his horse had galloped, however on further viewing of the video clips, Mr Bartlett conceded that RAZOR FACE had exceeded 150 metres in a galloping action.
--Decision:
--The protest was upheld, and as a result RAZOR FACE was disqualified from fourth placing. The committee was satisfied that RAZOR FACE had galloped in excess of 150 metres.
