The Informant, Mr J Oatham, filed an information pursuant to Rule 302(5)(a) when it was discovered that an unregistered person assisted him with the horse RIOS prior to Heat 14.DECISION AND REASON:

--The Informant, Mr J Oatham, filed an information pursuant to Rule 302(5)(a) when it was discovered that an unregistered person assisted him with the horse RIOS prior to Heat 14. The defendant is Trainer, Mr M Baker, who pleaded guilty to the charge, and did not wish to be present at the inquiry as he was not attending the Counties meeting today the 9th August 2008.
--Mr Baker was faxed a copy of the charge and in reply, as way of explanation, said that the part-owner of RIOS, Mr S Hale, led the horse around and although not registered now, had previously held an owner/trainer licence.
--Accordingly, Mr Baker accepted a $100 fine.
