Following Race 9 an Information was filed pursuant to Rule 520 (4). Mr C Ormsby failed to make the handicapped weight for ALL CASH.

Following Race 9 an Information was filed pursuant to Rule 520 (4). Mr C Ormsby failed to make the handicapped weight for ALL CASH.
--Mr Ormsby pleaded guilty to the charge.
--The Informant Mr Coles told the Committee that this was Mr Ormsby’s 6th charge under this rule in the last 12 months. However he did try hard had pleaded guilty and was fully co-operative with the Stewards. Mr Coles submitted a $200 - $400 fine would be appropriate.
--Mr Ormsby said he knew he was going to be a kilo over but with 6 rides prior to this one in Race 9 thought he would be able to make the correct weight. However he said he did not get a sweat up so this was the reason for the overweight.
--PENALTY
--The Committee considered all submissions and particularly Mr Ormsby’s guilty plea and his record. Once again Mr Ormsby was reminded of his obligations under this rule and the Committee’s concern over his record.
--Accordingly we impose a fine of $300.
