Following the running of Race 4 at the Canterbury Jockey Club’s meeting on Saturday 4 April 2009, it was alleged that Mr M Walker, Licensed Trainer, had failed to declare a rider for “La Victoire” by the required time.

Following the running of Race 4 at the Canterbury Jockey Club’s meeting on Saturday 4 April 2009, it was alleged that Mr M Walker, Licensed Trainer, had failed to declare a rider for “La Victoire” by the required time.
--The required time for the declaration of riders was 9 am, and the rider for “La Victoire” was not declared until 1.50 pm on the day in question.
--No reason was given for the late declaration.
--Mr Walker, by the manager of his Rangiora training establishment, Mr G Clutterbuck, admitted the breach of the Rule, and Mr Clutterbuck did not wish to be present at the hearing of the Information.
--EVIDENCE
--Mr Stewart Ching, Stipendiary Steward, advised the hearing that Mr Walker has only been charged once with this offence before, and that was on 14 April 2007.
--A fine of $50 was imposed.
