An information was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mr S C Ching, against Licensed Trainer, Ms P M Robson, alleging that Ms Robson, as the trainer of FIORE, an acceptor for Race 1, Lion Foundation Maiden, failed to declare a rider for that runner by the required time.

Ms Robson had signed the Statement by the Defendant endorsed on the information form indicating, firstly, that she admitted the breach of the Rule and, secondly, that she did not wish to be present at the hearing of the information. The breach was found to be proved.

Mr Ching informed the Committee that Ms Robson had advised a rider for the horse at 8.43pm on Wednesday, 27 February, by leaving a message on the phone at the National Racing Bureau. The time for declaration of riders was 4.00pm on that day. She would have received a telephone call from the Bureau after 4.30pm. Mr Ching informed the Committee that Ms Robson had not breached the declaration of riders Rule in the past 12 months but had received a warning in October 2007.

Ms Robson was fined the sum of $50.
