Under Rules 870 (3)(4) and 869 an Information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr TW Taumanu against the promoted fifth placing of horse number 6, Winter Snow (Trainer Arna Donnelly) on account of breaking inside the last 200 metres and galloping for approximately 150 metres and while in a gallop checking Titian Sun.
Under Rules 870 (3)(4) and 869 an Information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr TW Taumanu against the promoted fifth placing of horse number 6, Winter Snow (Trainer Arna Donnelly) on account of breaking inside the last 200 metres and galloping for approximately 150 metres and while in a gallop checking Titian Sun.

Miss Donnelly represented the connections of the horse and did not contest the protest. Miss Donnelly signed the Information and was not present at the Hearing.

Evidence was given by video film of the race and this clearly showed Winter Snow going into a break inside the last 200 metres from the finish and it moved inwards and checked Titian Sun and then continued to gallop for approximately 150 metres.

Taking all evidence into account and the fact the protest was not contested I hereby disqualify Winter Snow from the promoted fifth place.

The amended placings are now 10 first, 9 second, 1 third, 7 fourth, 4 fifth and 2 sixth.
