Following Race 6 Information 12468 instigated a protest by the connections of horse number 6 AUZZIE INVASION placed fifth by the judge against horse number 1 HAROLD SCOTT placed fourth on the grounds of breaking from its gait with 35 metres to run. The protest was made under the provisions of Rule 870 (5) and Mr Purdon acknowledged his horse had broken and confirmed that he did not contest the protest.
