An Information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mr T TAUMANU alleging Driver N CHILCOTT drove MYSTICAL SANDS carelessly during Race three when she moved her horse out during the run home causing interference to EAGLES IN MY POCKET (S Butcher) resulting in Eagles in my Pocket to break and lose all chance.
--Miss Chilcott admitted the charge and elected not to appear for the Hearing.
--Stipendiary Steward Mr J MUIRHEAD gave evidence and referred to tapes of the final stages of the race.
--He described how near the 100 metre mark, Miss Chilcott on Mystical Sands improved moving from 4 wide to 5 wide. In doing so she failed to see Eagles in my Pocket finishing quickly behind her. There appeared to be contact and Eagles in my Pocket broke up.
--He said Miss Chilcott readily admitted her fault and should have been more careful. She had a good driving record and had pleaded guilty.
--He recommended a fine in the region of $250
--Taking note of all submission Miss Chilcott is fined $250.00
