This is an uncontested protest. Mr Muirhead, stipendiary steward, alleged that SAFFRON CASTLETON broke for greater than 150 metres shortly after the start.

Mr Muirhead demonstrated the incident using head and side on video film. He identified SAFFRON CASTLETON on the outside of the second row behind the mobile start. He said that SAFFRON CASTLETON trotted away and then shortly after went into a gallop for approximately 160 metres.
Reasons for Decision:
The Committee assessed the incident and are of the view that SAFFRON CASTLETON broke for at least 160 metres and was therefore in breach of the Breaking Horse Regulations and rule 870 (3) in that he has failed to promptly regain his proper gait.
