| -- An Information was laid by Stipendiay Steward Mr J Muirhead alleging Careless Driving by Junior Horseman K LAIDLAW during the running of Race 2 in that he drive ZACK carelessly causing interference with JAKA with approximately 150 metres to run. ----Mr Laidlaw, represented and advised by Mr D Butcher admitted the breach and both were present for the hearing. ----Evidence given at the earlier protest hearing was accepted by all parties. This clearly showed interference to JAKA by Mr Laidlaw's drive ZACK. JAKA finishing the race in 10th place. ----DECISION ----The charge was found proven against Junior Horseman K LAIDLAW. --Taking into account the submissions by both parties relating to the conditions, the early admission of the breach and his otherwise clean driving record Mr LAIDLAW's horsemans licence was suspended for 2 days until the conclusion of racing on 7th January 2005. |
