| -- Following the running of Race 3 Stipendiary Steward Mr T TAUMANU laid an information against Horseman J NEWBERRY in breach of the Push Out Rule, alleging he improved SHINE ON ALISHA three wide forcing MARK ANDREW (B Taylor) to race wider on the track with 1400 metres to run ----Mr NewBerry admitted the charge and did not wish to appear for the Hearing ----Mr Taumanu gave evidence and referred to Video tapes which clearly showed Shine on Alisha forcing Mark Andrew wide on the track near the 1400 metre mark. ----Mr Taumanu saId that Mr NewBerry had been frank and cooperative and recommended the suspension of his horsemans licence up and including 28th January 2005. ----DECISION AND PENALTY ----Taking into account Mr Taumanu"s submission and the driving record of Mr Newberry his horsemans licence was suspended to the end of racing on 28th January 2005. |
