| -- RACE NO 8 INFORMATION NO 65440 RULE 869(3)(b) --An information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward T Taumanu against Horseman P Butcher driver of Super Max alleging he drove carelessly when he tightened Honneur France (T Mitchell) for room causing Honneur France to break for a few strides racing in to the first bend --Mr Butcher admitted the breach and did not wish to be present during the hearing. --Evidence provided at the earlier protest hearing into the same race was accepted and the charge was established. --DECISION AND REASONS --It was clear from the video footage that Driver Mitchell had been closed out by Super Max driven by Mr P Butcher and subsequently ran out of room and momentarily broke. Taking into account submissions on penalty and Mr Butchers driving record a fine of $200 was imposed. |
