Prior to the programme getting under way, an Information was lodged against Mr P Harris, the trainer of Bold Legend, alleging a breach of Rule 508(2), in that he failed to declare a rider for that horse by the specified time of 4.00pm on Tuesday 7th March.
----Mr Harris admitted the breach and elected not to be present.
----The Committee heard that, as presented in the Information, there was a specified time for declaring riders and Mr Harris had failed to do so. No explanation had been proffered, and Mr Ching recommended a fine of $100.00.
----In this case, Mr Harris has admitted the breach and, in the absence of submissions regarding penalty, I am satisfied the recommendation from the Stipendiary Stewards is appropriate and Mr Harris is fined the sum of $100.00.
