Mr Ching, stipendiary steward, alleged a breach of rule 508(2) and (5) in that Ms Johnston failed to declare a rider for UNINTENTIONAL in race 1 by the required time. She admitted the breach and indicated she did not wish to be present at the hearing.
--Mr Ching stated that the trainer had said by way of explanation that she had simply forgotten. A rider was finally nominated at 10.45 am.
--Ms Johnston has no previous breach of this Rule. We are aware the “standard fine” is $50. We impose a fine of $50.
