DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 4, The "Now Another Look" Trot, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mrs K. Williams instigating a protest against Molly McBrite (11) driven by Mr S. Dickson which was placed fourth by the Judge. It was alleged that Molly McBrite had broken in the straight prior to the finishing line and was "lapped on" by Ardwell Star (13).
--Video coverage of this incident was shown to illustrate that Molly McBrite was in a break when it reached the finishing line and that Ardwell Star was within a length of this horse. A copy of the photo finish also confirmed this. Relegation of Molly McBrite to fifth placing was sought.
--Mr Dickson attended this hearing representing the connections of Molly McBrite and advised that he did not contest that his horse should be relegated. Accordingly Molly McBrite is relegated to fifth placing. The amended places are as follows:
