| -- Race No 3 --An information was filed following the running of race No 3 instigating a protest the Judges placings for this race were 1st No 15 2nd No 10 3rd No 14, 4th No 7, 5th No 12 6th No 2. --This was a protest by horses No's 7 & 12 placed 4th & 5th by the judge against horse no 14 placed 3rd by the judge. The information alleged a breach of the Lapped On Rule and also a breach for gaining an advantage. --This information was not contested by the connections of horse No 14 Rachels Girl and the connections were not present at the hearing. --Mr Muirhead showed the video of the finish and this clearly showed Rachels Girl to be in breach of the rules as it was Lapped On to both horse No's 7 & 12 and while in a gallop had gained ground over the concluding stages of this race. The judges official photo was also produced for verification of the Lapped On Rule. --Decision and Reasons. --As this protest was not contested by the connections and as Rachels Girl was in breach of 870(2) & 870 (5). This judicial committee orders that Rachels Girl be relegated behind Alices Image to 5th place. --The Amended Places for race No 3 shall now read 1st No 15, 2nd No 10, 3rd No 7, 4th No 12, 5th No 14, 6th No 2. |
