| -- Following the running of race No 3 an information was filed alleging a breach of rule 864 2 (c) the informant was Mr J M Muirhead and the defendant Mr D Hope trainer. The information stated that trainer Mr D Hope failed to affix his sulky seat on the sulky for Cashmore Vance so as not to come adrift. Horseman Mr R Bowker became unseated in the sulky over the final 100 meters of the race. --Trainer Mr D Hope admitted the breach and in his absence his daughter Miss L Hope attended the hearing. --Mr Muirhead showed the video of the final stages of race three. --Submissions on penalty were heard from both Mr Muirhead and Miss Hope. --Decision And Reasons. --The Judicial Committee having taken into account the admission of this breach imposed a fine of $200.00 in this instance. |
