An information lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr J Muirhead against Mr S Argue, driver of BACK IN GENES, alleging a breach of Rule 857 (7) (g) in that he failed to bring his horse up into position at barrier one on the second line behind the mobile gate at the start of the race.
--Mr Argue admitted the breach and did not wish to be present at the hearing.
--Stipendiary Steward Mr Muirhead said Mr Argue was aware that his horse was fractious and was overly cautious at the start being about 20m out of position.
--The standard fine of $100.00 was recommended and imposed.
