Following the running of Race 2 Stipendiary Steward Mr JM Muirhead instigated a protest against the fourth placing of horse number 5 AQUA BLAST for causing interference to KELLY?S MACCHI (driver T. Mitchell), JACK?S HIGH (driver S.J Reid), BURY MY HEART (driver M. McKendry) and SALUTE RUFUS (driver M. Purdon) with 500m to run.
----Mr F Cooney the trainer and driver of AQUA BLAST represented the connections of the horse and did not contest the protest.
----The evidence given in the hearing relating to the information against Mr Cooney was admitted at this hearing by consent.
----The Committee ordered that AQUA BLAST be disqualified from fourth place and the amended placings are now 3, 10, 11, 2, 14 and 4.
