An information was filed instigating a protest in  Race 7.   The informant was Mr. J M Muirhead and this was a protest against horse No 2 , Play On placed 5^th by the judge, alleging a breach of rule 869 (7) (b).

An information was filed instigating a protest in Race 7.   The informant was Mr. J M Muirhead and this was a protest against horse No 2 , Play On placed 5^th by the judge, alleging a breach of rule 869 (7) (b).

The judges placings for this race were 1^st No 7, 2^nd No 4, 3^rd No 1, 4^th no 6, 5^th No 2, 6^th no 3.

It was alleged by Mr. Muirhead that Play On had gone inside the marker pylons when attempting to get a run up inside the horse in the passing lane.

Present at the hearing of this information was Mr T Macfarlane the driver of Play On in this race.

Mr. Muirhead showed the video of the run home and this video clearly showed Play On to go inside the marker pylons for a distance of approximately 75 meters in the run home. Mr. Macfarlane on behalf of the trainer Mr. Lamb did not contest this protest.

Mr. Muirhead asked for disqualification of Play On from 5^th place in this race.

As this protest was not contested this Judicial Committee upholds the protest and orders that Play On be disqualified from it's 5^th placing in this race .

The amended placings for this race shall now read 1^st No 7, 2^nd No 4, 3^rd No 1, 4^th No 6, 5^th no 3, 6^th No 5.
