Facts:
An Information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr NG McIntyre against horseman Mr M Purdon alleging that Mr Purdon failed to come up into Barrier position 8 behind the Mobile Barrier when driving ADORE ME.
Mr Purdon admitted the Breach and did not wish to appear before the Committee.
Mr McIntyre demonstrated the breach by use of the video films.

Mr McIntyre said that the JCA Guidelines provide for a starting point penalty of suspension for 5 drives or a $250.00 fine. He said it was a Group 1 Race and that should be taken into account but that Mr Purdon should be given credit for admitting the breach.
Reasons for Penalty:
The films are very clear and Mr Purdon made no effort to keep up behind the Mobile Barrier. Previous Drivers in Group 1 Races have been fined $250.00 for the same offence and the Committee in taking a consistent view believes that a fine of that amount is appropriate.
