| -- DECISION & REASON: --Mr Coles alleged a breach of Rule 871(1)(d) in that G Grylls angled his mount ATAPI outwards when not the required distance clear of SENORITA IVORY ridden by Miss Lee Rutherford causing interference to that runner. --Mr Grylls admitted a breach of the Rule. ----Submissions as to penalty made by Mr Coles included comment on his good riding record and that the careless riding was not at the serious level. However, it did result in a relegation and that a suspension was required. ----Mr Grylls asked for a fine and noted the important races coming up. ----In deciding on a suspension the Panel considered Mr Grylls' admission of the breach and his good riding record, however it did result in a relegation and this had to be considered. ----Mr Grylls was suspended from riding from the conclusion of racing on Wednesday 3 November until the conclusion of racing on Thursday 11 November, in effect 4 days. |
