Mr Coles explained that Mr Ormsby accepted the ride on ALEXA but had then failed to make the 54.5 kg that he was required to ride the horse at.

Mr Ormsby explained that he hadn’t been well during the week and he had to limit his time in the sauna. He also said that he did not want to spend any more time in the sauna as it could have jeopardized his ability to ride later in the day.

Mr Coles said that this was Mr Ormsby’s 2nd breach of the rule in 8 days. He asked for a fine of $200 - $250.

The committee told Mr Ormsby that he must be more disciplined when accepting rides where he had to lose weight and imposed a fine of $250.
