Following Race 4 an Information was filed pursuant to rule 330 (3) (c) alleging that defendant T Harris breached the rule in that he failed to ride CELTIC FANTASY at the weight in which it was handicapped to carry.

Following Race 4 an Information was filed pursuant to rule 330 (3) (c) alleging that defendant T Harris breached the rule in that he failed to ride CELTIC FANTASY at the weight in which it was handicapped to carry.

Mr Harris admitted the charge and stated that as he was unwell asked to be excused from attending the hearing.  This leave was granted.

Mr Coles outlined the charge and stated that Mr Harris was 1 kg over his contracted weight.  He asked for a fine in the vicinity of $300.
 
In imposing a fine of $300 the Committee does express some concern that Mr Harris has again failed to meet his contracted weight.
