Following race 5 an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged by the informant, Stipendary Steward Mr A Coles that near the 50m N Harris permitted PENNY FLORENCE to shift out when not clear of LA FORCE (D Walsh), which was forced out on to SPIN AROUND (G McKeon) which was carried out across the running of CADILLAC (V Colgan).

--

Mr Harris confirmed that he had changed his plea and that he now admitted the charge.

--

Mr J Davidson demonstrated the film which showed, as the horses progressed down the final straight, the outward movement of PENNY FLORENCE which forced out LA FORCE, who in turn dictated SPIN AROUND outwards across the line of CADILLAC.

--

Mr Harris said that although he had admitted he was guilty of the initial movement he then took action to straighten his mount but was not successful in halting further outward movement which caused the continued interference. He was not challenged on this point.

--

PENALTY: Mr Coles gave Mr Harris's good record of 1 suspension during the previous 12 months, but in asking for a suspension said that he felt it was an offence at the lower end of the scale.

--

Mr Harris said that he was riding extensively round the racing circuit.

--

After taking all matters into account we suspend Mr Harris from the conclusion of racing on 21 February till the conclusion of racing on 28 February 2007.
