Following race 1 an information was lodged pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged that Mr L Innes committed a breach of that rule when near the 500metres he allowed his mount DANPAOSHAQ to shift in tightening the running of ROMINOV (S Spratt) which had to be checked.

Following race 1 an information was lodged pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged that Mr L Innes committed a breach of that rule when near the 500metres he allowed his mount DANPAOSHAQ to shift in tightening the running of ROMINOV (S Spratt) which had to be checked.
--Mr Innes admitted the charge.
--Mr Sanders demonstrated the video and showed the field as it rounded the 500 metre mark .Mr Innes was leading and racing on the outside of M/s Spratt. As he went forward to take a clear lead he moved across on to the rails, but was not sufficiently clear of M/s Spratt and she had to check her mount to keep clear of his heels.
--As Mr Innes has pleaded guilty the committee is required to adjudicate on penalty only.
--Mr Sanders, in giving Mr Innes record said that although this was Mr Innes' 2nd offence in 2 days it was his 4th in 12 months He said he regarded the offence to be at the lower end of seriousness but asked for a suspension to be imposed.
--Mr Innes had nothing to add.
--The committee, after taking in to account Mr Innes’, his record, and the error of judgment admitted by Mr Innes suspend him from race riding starting after the finish of racing on 23 April till 29 April 2009. (4 days)
