Following race 4 an information was lodged pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged that Miss S Collett, being the rider of RICHARD BEYMER permitted her mount to shift inwards near the 150 metres when not sufficiently clear of SKY ROCKET (M Sweeney) who was crowded.

Miss Collett, who was represented by Mr M Walker, admitted the charge.

Mr J Oatham demonstrated the video and showed quite clearly that Miss Collett made no effort to straighten her mount as it moved in and crowded SKY ROCKET.

As Miss Collett pleaded guilty the committee has to adjudicate on penalty only.

Mr Coles gave Miss Collett’s very good riding record. This is the 1st time that she has been charged in her 2 years of riding. During that time she has ridden extensively over the whole country. He did, however ask for a suspension of 4 days.

Miss Collett said she had no immediate engagements so would begin any suspension immediately.

After due consideration the committee suspends Miss Collett from race riding beginning at the conclusion of racing on 14 December till the conclusion of racing on 20 December 2008 (4days).
