Following the running of Race 2, The Southern Trust Mobile Pace, an information was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mrs K R Williams, against Licensed Open Horseman, Mr G R Payne, alleging that Mr Payne, as the driver of IL BARONE in the race, was unable to activate the removeable hood on that horse so that it malfunctioned.

Following the running of Race 2, The Southern Trust Mobile Pace, an information was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mrs K R Williams, against Licensed Open Horseman, Mr G R Payne, alleging that Mr Payne, as the driver of IL BARONE in the race, was unable to activate the removeable hood on that horse so that it malfunctioned.

Mr Payne was not present at the hearing but he had signed the information form and indicated that he admitted the breach and did not wish to be present at the hearing. The hearing proceeded in Mr Payne's absence and charge was found proved.

Mrs Williams recommended a fine of $100.
