The informant, Mr Sanders, filed an information pursuant to Rule 520(4)(c) when he alleged that Mr J Waddell failed to make the handicapped weight for CHISWICK in race one.

The informant, Mr Sanders, filed an information pursuant to Rule 520(4)(c) when he alleged that Mr J Waddell failed to make the handicapped weight for CHISWICK in race one. Mr Waddell pleaded guilty to the charge.
--Mr Sanders said that Mr Waddell was ¾ kilo over and informed Stewards 30 minutes before the race at which time he was replaced. He said this was Mr Waddell’s fourth charge in the last 12 months and recommended a fine in the range of $300 – $400.
--Mr Waddell said he had been trying hard to reduce his weight, but it was taking longer than he intended. He admitted to being all his own doing.
--PENALTY:
The Committee took into account all submissions and before imposing penalty reminded Mr Waddell of his obligations which he is obviously well aware of. Accordingly we fine Mr Waddell $300.
