| ---- An Information lodging a protest was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr T Taumanu following the running of Race 6. ----It alleged that horse number 3 PADDLE FOOT HOLMES (Driver J Abernathy) placed 4th by the Judge had broke from its gait with approximately 30 metres to run and was lapped on crossing the finish line by horse number 7 EBONIZER (Driver G Gillies) placed 5th ----The Protest was not contested by the connections who did not appear at the hearing. ----Video tapes clearly showed PADDLE FOOT HOLMES to break from its correct gait before the finish line and being lapped on by EBONIZER as they crossed to finish. ----DECISION ----Horse 3 PADDLE FOOT HOLMES was relegated to 5th place and Horse 7 EBONIZER was improved to 4th place. ----Final amended placings are ----1 2 TED E BEAR --2 9 FARID --3 4 LOGDON --4 7 EBONIZER --5 3 PADDLE FOOT HOLMES --6 1 LORD MCENROE ------ -- --
