Following the running of Race 11, the Nevele R Fillies Series Consolation, an information was filed by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. M. Ydgren against Mr J. T. Keast the driver of LONG LIVE LANA (6) alleging that Mr Keast had committed a breach of Rule 869(4) in that he allowed his horse to strike the sulky wheel of UNO ALICE (5) causing his own horse to break.

Following the running of Race 11, the Nevele R Fillies Series Consolation, an information was filed by Stipendiary Steward Mr N. M. Ydgren against Mr J. T. Keast the driver of LONG LIVE LANA (6) alleging that Mr Keast had committed a breach of Rule 869(4) in that he allowed his horse to strike the sulky wheel of UNO ALICE (5) causing his own horse to break.

Mr Keast had indicated on the information that he admitted this breach of
--the Rules, and that he did not wish to attend the hearing.

In relation to penalty Mr Ydgren advised that Mr Keast had no relevant previous convictions, and as he had admitted the breach he recommended a fine of $250.00.

We were satisfied that the fine recommended was appropriate in the circumstances, and Mr Keast was fined the sum of $250-00.
