| -- DECISION & REASON: --This information has been transferred from the Ashburton Racemeeting held on 30.9.05 by consent of all parties on a plea of guilty. --The only issue for determination today is penalty. --The Committee viewed the race videos and Mr A Coles, Stipendiary Steward, demonstrated the incident shortly after the start. --Mr C Lammas pleaded guilty to careless riding, namely allowing his mount to shift ground inwards when not sufficiently clear causing tightening and interference to HOLD TO RANSOM (J Laking) and WANT WANT (M Hayston) resulting in both horses having to check approximately 100 metres after the start. --After hearing submissions from Mr Oatham and Mr C Lammas on penalty we determine that a suspension be imposed. Mitigating factors: --

Accordingly we impose a suspension from the conclusion of racing on 26.10.05 up to and including the completion of racing on 1.11.05 (3 days suspension). ---- --
