Under Rule 871 (1) (d) Stipendiary Steward Mr A Ray lodged an information in that Mr M Hills, the rider of TIEF, made insufficient effort to relieve pressure to D'SIBLING, ridden by P Taylor, when able to do so near the 800 metres, resulting in that runner having to check.
--Mr Hills admits the breach.
--Stipendiary Steward Mr Goodwin demonstrated on the films available Mr Hills' movement across, and the resulting pressure to D'SIBLING, forcing Mr P Taylor to check his mount. Mr Hills confirmed his actions as shown.
--Mr Ray stated this offence was not at the top end of the scale, but D'SIBLING's line had been affected, and asked for a term of suspension.
--The committee has taken into account Mr Hills' admittance of the breach, and his good record. The degree of interference does warrant a term of suspension, and the request for a deferral was granted, to commence on close of racing on Wednesday 12th September up to and including the close of racing on Saturday 15th September (3 days).
