The Information alleges that S Collins the rider of UHUMMIT failed to weigh in after finishing 3rd in the race.

--Mr Collins was present at the hearing and admitted the breach.
--The rule was read and Mr Collins acknowledged he understood same.
--Mr Goodwin outlined the facts that were basically Mr Collins' mount UHUMMIT had finished 3rd in Race 6 and that Mr Collins had not weighted in as required, the horse had been disqualified.
--Mr Collins could give no explanation as to why he had not weighted in and fully understood it was his obligation to do so.
--The Committee asked Mr Goodwin if Mr Collins had previously been charged with this particular offence, on checking Mr Goodwin advised the Committee that he (Mr Collins) had been charged with same on the 30th March 2002.
--Mr Goodwin told the Committee it was a serious charge and had cost not only the Owners and Trainer but also punters.
--Mr Collins did not wish to comment as to penalty.
--When arriving at a penalty the Committee took into account the serious nature of the charge, the fact that Mr Collins was a senior rider and felt any penalty they imposed must show disapproval and a message to other jockeys that Owners, Trainers and Punters alike must when investing on a horse be able to do so with confidence.
--Mr Collins was suspended from riding from the conclusion of racing on the 16th May until the conclusion of racing on the 16th June.
