Following the running of Race 7, the Palazzo del Marinaio Graduation Mobile Pace, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mrs K. R. Williams against Mr K. N. Larsen, the driver of “Dustin Bromac” (10), alleging a breach of Rule 847(2) in that he failed to wear his safety helmet with the chin strap securely fastened.
Following the running of Race 7, the Palazzo del Marinaio Graduation Mobile Pace, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mrs K. R. Williams against Mr K. N. Larsen, the driver of “Dustin Bromac” (10), alleging a breach of Rule 847(2) in that he failed to wear his safety helmet with the chin strap securely fastened.

Mr Larsen had indicated on the information that he admitted this breach of the Rules and also that he did not wish to attend the hearing

Video coverage was used to show that Mr Larsen did not have his chin strap fastened as alleged. His explanation was that he thought it was fastened.

Mrs Williams advised that there were no previous relevant convictions, and recommended a fine of $100-00. I was satisfied that a fine of $100-00 was appropriate in this case, and Mr Larsen was fined this amount.
