Stipendiary Steward Mr T TAUMANU lodged an Information following Race two alleging that trainer Mr G DIXON failed to notify the MYA GRACE would be racing with removable earplugs.
--Mr Dixon denied the charge and did not wish to be present for the Hearing. He endorsed and signed the information accordingly and wrote the following for the information of the Judicial Committee "After nominations it is not possible to process the changes online. Computer access should be available up to driver notification time".
--Mr Taumanu outlined the recent changes to the reporting requirements that had been publicised in the last six weeks of the HRNZ weekly sent out to all licence holders. He further explained that internet access may not always be available but that did not remove the responsibility for HRNZ to be notified in a timely manner either through telephone or facsimile.
--On finding the charge proven Mr Taumanu requested a fine of $50.00 which was ordered.
