Decision: -- At the conclusion of Race 1, The Ampelite Mobile Trot, a protest was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr CJ Allison alleging under Rule 870(5) that ILLUMINATI broke short of the winning post and was lapped on by THE FIERY GINGA (A Clarke) and TORSHANT (A Milne). Mr Knowles used a video clip to highlight the alleged incident stating that ILLUMINATI broke approximately twenty metres from the winning post and was lapped on at the winning post. Mr B Shirley, the driver of ILLUMINATI, did not contest the protest agreeing that ILLUMINATI was lapped on. DECISION: The Committee were satisfied that there had been a clear breach of the Rule and as a result ILLUMINATI was relegated from first placing to third placing.
