An information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr J M Muirhead against the 4th placing of horse number 4 Machnifico on account of hanging in with approximately 500 metres to run and causing interference to Royal Tiger driven by Mr T Shaw.

Mr Brosnan the Trainer/Driver of Machnifico did not contest the protest.

Evidence was given by use of the video film and Mr Muirhead showed that with approximately 500 metres to run Mr Brosnan’s horse Machnifico started to hang in and despite Mr Brosnan’s efforts did run in and interfere with Royal Tiger driven by Mr T Shaw.

Taking all evidence into account and the fact that the protest was not contested I hereby disqualify Machnifico from 4th place. The amended placings are now 5 first, 6 second, 1 third, 10 fourth, 8 fifth, and 7 sixth.
