----Following the running of the Windsor Park Stud Whyte Handicap Mr L. N. McCutcheon, Chief Stipendiary Steward, lodged a protest under rule 876(1) against the fourth placed horse GO THENAKI (R. Bishop) on the grounds of interference to the sixth placed horse GREENBACK (L. Cropp).
----Mr A. Sharrock trainer of GO THENAKI viewed the film and conceded the protest.
----The Committee viewed the head on film of the field turning into the straight from which it was clear GO THENAKI moved in on three occasions bumping GREENBACK and then took its line when not sufficiently clear. Ms Cropp was then obliged to take hold of her mount. GREENBACK suffered significant interference on each occasion and its chance of finishing in a higher placing were unquestionably affected by GO THENAKI's erratic running.
----The protest was therefore upheld and the amended placings are
