DECISION AND REASONS:
--Following the running of Race 3, Islington Tavern Mobile Pace, an information was filed by Stipendiary Steward, Mrs K R Williams, against Licensed Public Trainer, Mr G T Court, alleging a breach of Rule 864 (2) (d) in that "the middle [hopple] carrier came adrift on NO ESCAPE resulting in this horse being retired from the event after approximately 400 metres". Mr Court is the trainer of NO ESCAPE.
----Mr P T Court, Licensed Open Horseman, on behalf of Mr Court, had signed the Statement of Defendant on the information form acknowledging, firstly, that Mr Court admitted the breach and, secondly, that he did not wish to be present at the hearing of the information. The charge was accordingly found proved.
----Mrs Williams informed the Committee that NO ESCAPE had been 2/1 in the betting for the Race. She recommended a fine of $100.
----Mr Court was fined the sum of $100.00.
