REASON AND DECISION:
--Miss C Anderson admitted a breach of Rule 871(1)(d) in that she permitted her mount STRISAN to shift inwards near the 800 metres dictating NOW (Mr J Waddell) inwards taking that horses rightful line of running and causing a check to GLAMORIZE (Mr C Lammas).
--Mr Williamson demonstrated the incident on the video of the inward movement when not sufficiently clear of NOW and a check occurred to GLAMORIZE who lost several lengths. No corrective measures were taken by Miss Anderson.
--Mr Oatham noted that Miss Anderson's mount was racing awkwardly at the time but she did not relieve the pressure and that a suspension was warranted.
--Miss Anderson made no submissions on penalty and stated that she had no immediate firm engagements.
--The committee took these submissions into consideration including admission of the breach and that this was the first breach of this rule in the last 12 months, and suspended Miss Anderson from riding from the conclusion of racing on Sunday 9th December 2007 until the conclusion of racing on Saturday 15th December 2007. This, for Miss Anderson was effectively a 3-day suspension.
