Following the running of Race 6, the Shepherd & Kime Ltd Mobile (PBD) Trot, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mrs K. R. Williams against Mr J. D. Burgess, the trainer of “Silverdale Pride” (9), alleging a breach of Rule 864(2)(d), in that he failed to affix the boring pole so as not to come adrift.

Following the running of Race 6, the Shepherd & Kime Ltd Mobile (PBD) Trot, an information was laid by Stipendiary Steward Mrs K. R. Williams against Mr J. D. Burgess, the trainer of “Silverdale Pride” (9), alleging a breach of Rule 864(2)(d), in that he failed to affix the boring pole so as not to come adrift.

Mr Burgess had indicated on the information that he admitted this breach of the Rules and that he did not wish to attend the hearing.

--

Mrs Williams advised that Mr Burgess had no previous convictions under this Rule, and a fine of $100-00 was recommended.  I was satisfied that a fine of

$100-00 was appropriate in this case and Mr Burgess was fined this amount.
