Following race 7 an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged by the informant, Stipendiary Steward Mr J Oatham, that Miss C Anderson, rider of MAN OF GOLD, committed a breach of that Rule

DECISION & REASON:
--Following race 7 an information was filed pursuant to Rule 871(1)(d) when it was alleged by the informant, Stipendiary Steward Mr J Oatham, that Miss C Anderson, rider of MAN OF GOLD, committed a breach of that Rule when she allowed her mount to move out causing interference to OUR ROYAL ECLIPSE (B R Jones).
----Miss Anderson admitted the breach of Rule 871(1)(d) when she allowed her mount MAN OF GOLD to move out and caused interference to OUR ROYAL ECLIPSE. This action was confirmed by the viewing of video films demonstrated by Mr W Robinson.
----In submissions on penalty Mr Oatham gave Miss Anderson's good record, but said he still considered a suspension was appropriate.
----Miss Anderson had nothing to add.
----After considering these submissions the Committee also took into account Miss Anderson's admission of the breach, but agreed a suspension was warranted. Consequently we suspend Miss Anderson from riding from the conclusion of racing on 19 August until the conclusion of racing on 30 August.
