An information was lodged by Stipendiary Steward Mr T Taumanu against trainer T Mitchell alleging a breach of Rule 864(2)(d) in that he had failed to properly affix a hopple carrier strap on Sundowner Sam,which resulted in the horse being pulled up during the running of race 3 for safety reasons.

Mr Mitchell acknowledged his error and agreed to the recommended penalty of $100.00 --Penalty: Fined $100. --
