Following the running of Non-Tote Race 2 an information was laid by Chief Stipendiary Steward Mr N. R. Escott alleging a breach of Rule 870(4)(a) and the "Breaking Horses" Regulations by "Ali Muss" (6) driven by Mr N. McGrath.

--Following the running of Non-Tote Race 2 an information was laid by Chief Stipendiary Steward Mr N. R. Escott alleging a breach of Rule 870(4)(a) and the "Breaking Horses" Regulations by "Ali Muss" (6) driven by Mr N. McGrath. It was alleged that the horse had broken from its correct gait with about 100 metres to run, and had been in a break for more than 50 metres in the final 200 metres of the race. Mr J. W. Veint, the trainer of the horse, did not attend the hearing, but he had endorsed on the information that he agreed that the horse should be disqualified.
--Accordingly "Ali Muss" was disqualified from 4th place, the amended places being as follows.
