Following Race 6 a Protest was lodged against ROSSCOE placed 2nd by the Judge alleging a breach of Rule 870(5) for breaking from its gait with approximately 15m left to run and consequently was lapped on at the finish. The margins were: ? neck to 3rd, ? head to 4th, a neck to 5th. The incident was demonstrated on video by Mr Escott and the margins were confirmed.

Mr Milina accepted the evidence and the provisions of the Rule and accordingly the Committee upheld the protest and relegated ROSSCOE behind the 5th horse. The placings are therefore changed accordingly as follows:
