| -- Following the running of race 8 an information alleging a breach of rule 869 (3) (b) careless driving, the informant was Mr J M Muirhead and the defendant Mr Warren Taylor. Mr Taylor admitted the breach and was present at the hearing of this information. --The information alleged that Mr W Taylor drove carelessly when he improved Casleton Gold into a gap where there was insufficient room between Yummy Lace (M McKendry ), and Gorchakova (L Chin), with approximately 500 meters to run resulting in interference to his own horse. --Mr Muirhead showed the Judicial Panel the video of this incident and it was clear that Mr Taylor had angled his horse Castleton Gold into a gap where there was insufficient room. --Decision And Reasons. --Having taken into account the submissions made by both Mr Muirhead and Mr Taylor on penalty and also Mr Taylor's good driving record and his admission of the breach of rule 869 (3) (b). --This Judicial Panel imposes a fine of $200.00 in this instance. |
